Residence in Oman today is the motivation of a large number of expatriates inside and outside the country for many reasons. In this article, we fully discuss all aspects of staying in Oman. IBD is the operator of all activities for the stay of immigrants in Oman at a cost of 700 Omani rials.

There are two general ways to get a residence permit in Oman, which we will write about in detail below.

Residence employment in Oman

In the first stage, we suggest that if you plan to come to Oman through labor recruitment, i.e. become an employee or work in an Omani or non-Omani company based in Oman, you should be fluent in either Arabic or English. In the next step, it is better to prepare a suitable resume of your capabilities and communicate with the employer through the Internet, virtual networks, etc. Try to get a remote job offer before incurring the heavy costs of face-to-face search in Oman. During the time we have been based in Oman, we have seen many expats who have come to Oman hoping to find a job, and unfortunately, a limited number have succeeded in getting hired. But if you manage to find a job, fortunately, most of the expenses related to your stay will be with the employer. A job stay in Oman is an ideal option for specialists and professionals, including in the health and medical sector.

Two types of work visas are used for work residence:

  • employment visa (for people who intend to be employed in Oman)
  • residence visa (for the use of your companions and family members as job applicants).

The desired work visa is usually issued for two years. If the applicant’s family members need to accompany him, they must have their own residence visa.

The important point is that considering that the employer has entered in order to accept a person in a specific job and completed the information, it is difficult to change the job after entering the job.
